I am totally sold on the sliding ring having changed from a fixed hook! I spend most of my time on a surfboard now and it really helps with body position and it stops the kite from yanking my harness around my body when riding toeside. Also has the added benefit of a fixed loop for freestyle/freeride. It looks easy to replace the rope in future when needed too. Really smooth, light weight and felt locked in, in my harness. The shorter loop also makes it easier to reach the depower straps which I normally struggle with. I simply can't think of any negatives!

Was a little concerned about the lack of hook, but it makes perfect sense, I don’t think I have ever un-hooked in 13 years of riding. Also compared to my other bar with a sliding hook, it brings the chicken loop closer so I can reach full de power, a big plus for short arms. With smooth lines there’s nothing to catch you board or lines on. There’s no rolling up of the spreader so it doesn’t ride up, I’m impressed!

I wasn't sure I'd see much if any difference from my old Mystic spreader bar (also sliding rope) but man what a difference, it really is a locked in feeling with no movement or riding up of the bar and the padding is super comfy I really didn't feel the harness at all.
I'd totally recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade!Quality Price Value - Easy open and close spreader bar. Works well

Just what I wanted . I always had trouble with the clicker bar especially with gloves on . I had seen the Ion and was going for that until mystic announced this . So I waited ( quite a while) but it’s been worth it. It fits into my harness like a glove and doesn’t ride up at all . Easy to get tension right with the cam lock and I can’t see it being hard even in the cold . Rope is easy to access for changing . It’s quite a bit lighter as it’s made of composite instead of stainless. Probably a better solution and there are no welds to corrode. All in all a good improvement on the clicker and a good price too!
