The A700 fuselage and AF72 Mast combine to create a stable, controllable foil system that can be matched with any front wing, so you can learn to wing, SUP, surf and kite foil with confidence. The forgiving longer fuselage delays the pitching moment, giving you greater time to react. It’s precisely CNC-machined and hydrodynamically optimised shape offers minimal resistance, while the aluminium mast delivers the best balance between light weight and increased strength for higher loads. The AF72 mast is also ideal for shallower waters and prone surf foiling. Simply choose the Sonar Front Wing best suited to your needs to complete your setup (Sonar Front Wings, Foil Board and foil to board attachment hardware sold separately)

Fuselage 700mm

Cruise control. Forgiving 700mm long fuselage improves stability when paired with any wing. Ideal for learning to foil, the longer fuselage delays the pitching moment, giving you more time to react.

Sonar AF72 Mast

New refined aluminium foil section gives the best balance between light weight and increased strength for higher loads. 30% stiffer than the AK mast yet only 13% heavier, the AF72 mast is ideal for shallower waters, and prone surf foiling.

Easy recovery from surface breaching

In perfect harmony with any Front Wing, our dihedral-shaped carbon pre-preg rear Stabilizer provides control and riding comfort, allowing fast pivoting turns and easy surface breach-recovery.

The Stabilizer's positioning on top of the Fuselage allows for a clean, undisturbed approaching flow.

EASY RECOVERY FROM SURFACE BREACHING

In perfect harmony with any Front Wing, our dihedral-shaped carbon pre-preg rear Stabilizer provides control and riding comfort, allowing fast pivoting turns and easy surface breach-recovery. The Stabilizer's positioning on top of the Fuselage allows for a clean, undisturbed approaching flow. Surface piercing of the Stabilizer is not a problem, as the Front Wing sits deeper in the water and is still fully submerged, giving you that extra time to react and adjust your ride height.

 

GEOLOCK OPTIMISED LOAD BEARING CONNECTION

Engineered to last, our unique GeoLock tapered geometry locking system provides a more effective load-bearing connection between the Mast and Fuselage, locking them together, so they feel like one piece. Screws engage the GeoLock while the load transfer now takes place over the full cross-section of the mast profile, allowing for a more efficient load distribution and longer-lasting connection. Patent pending.

New Board Adaptor for the AF72 and AF85 masts. FE-Analysis allows us to optimise the structure, increase strength in the areas of highest stress concentration and reduce unecessary weight in lower stress areas. Stow your Sonar Quiver safely in between sessions with our Heavy Duty 600D Padded Travel Bag. Roomy enough inside to fit the complete Sonar Foil set, including all three wings and three masts inside their individual covers. The bag also has enough depth to leave the Board Adaptor connected to the mast, making your foil packdown faster. Designed with straps, clips and interior pockets to secure contents.
