Full Length Drive Channels provide unmatched rail control and stability even when
edging massively over-powered and when combined with the Tunnel Concave Tips
these features prevent the fins from catching even on the heaviest landings. Added
for the first time is our all-new Dynamic Fin Positioning System allowing you to tune
your board for the conditions at hand.

Three-step Rocker Profile
A departure from our more usual constant curve camber Baracus features a highly
developed 3-stage profile. Increased grip and POP are joined by reduced spin-out
and more edge hold. Faster, stronger and more forgiving – the perfect recipe for a
Big Air deck.

Dynamic Fin Positioning System (DFPS)
A sign of our constant drive to innovate, the Dynamic Fin Positioning System allows
you to tune the amount of rail grip you need depending on the conditions. High levels
of grip sacrifice your performance and efficiency in light winds but when the wind
cranks up the DFPS allows you to instantly re-align the fins for maximum grip.
Maximum efficieny in light winds and maximum grip when powered up – DFPS is a
game changer.
Full Length over lapping Drive Channels
By overlapping the rail and tip channels Baracus reduces the energy sapping flex
area located just behind the riders rear foot ensuring it can handle high power levels
and bone jarringly hard landings with ease. The central tail concave helps to lift the
nose- ideal when landing with commitment or when things simply don't go quite as
planned!

Who are Shinnmark?
Mark Shinn
Mark Shinn is a prominent figure in the kiteboarding world, renowned for his
significant contributions as both a competitor and an innovator. Originating from
Southampton, UK, Shinn began his journey in windsurfing before transitioning to
kiteboarding in 1999. His exceptional talent quickly propelled him to the top of the
sport.​
In 2002, Shinn made history by winning both the Professional Kite Riders
Association (PKRA) World Title and the Kiteboard Pro World Tour (KPWT) World
Title in the same year, a feat that remains unparalleled.  This achievement
established him as the first undisputed dual World Champion in kiteboarding. ​
Following his competitive success, Shinn shifted focus to product development within
the sport. In 2005, he founded Shinn Kiteboarding, a company dedicated to
producing high-quality kiteboards and hydrofoils. Leveraging his extensive
experience, Shinn emphasizes innovation and meticulous attention to detail in his
designs. ​
Beyond his professional endeavors, Shinn is known for his passion for the sport and
his commitment to advancing kiteboarding technology. His work continues to
influence the kiteboarding community, reflecting his dedication to enhancing
performance and usability for riders worldwide.​

Mike Birt
Mike Birt has been part of the Shinn family since its start. A resident of the UK’s
northern latitudes he's spent his life in the ocean from a young age. A professional
windsurfer for a decade he went on to become the UK’s first national kitesurfing
champion. With a career that spanned all the ages and it’s associated disciplines he
has been a good friend of Mark's on and off the water. Climbing the Woo ladder the
last years he’s sniffing on the big 3’O, wishing he had as many meters as he has
years on the clock, he’s still passionately invested in the sport on a personal and
business level.
The UK distributor for Shinn for the last 15 years, his love of the brand and it’s
unique design focus has prompted him to step up to help with the transition to
SHINNmark. With input in all aspects, he’ll be your primary contact for all day to day
tasks from logistics to technical, leaving Mark to do what he does best - innovate.
