James, I'm also available on the weekend of 2nd - 3rd November.
Further to Steve's question, I'd appreciate if would you clarify the format of the jumping clinic.

Hey guys. Sorry, mental couple of days in work. So previously we’ve started with a bit of theory where Lewis has explained the mechanics of performing controlled jumps, we then head to the beach where we put the theory into practice. Depending on the location Lewis will be riding giving instruction or from the beach if it’s shallow like Pembrey, it’s pretty relaxed and previously I’ve worked on other tricks with Lewis so he’s happy to do that too. If it’s super windy they’ll be a demo which is pretty impressive as you can imagine.

It would be helpful if all those planning on attending could confirm for the new dates of 2-3rd November.

Would prefer pembrey if tides are satisfactory

Cheers

What are people’s thoughts on Saturday. XC saying 35-45 mph and some rain. Obviously those conditions will only be suitable for small kites and experienced riders.

Sunday is forecast to be bone dry and to have lighter wind.
So conditions on Sunday would be suitable for more participants.
So Sunday, at Pembrey gets my vote.

Just to chuck my 2p worth in forecast wise. The situation on sat-sun is extremely complex and none of the models have good confidence.
Beware it could change a lot between now and then
At the moment Sat all the models show 25-33 kts W
Sunday is all over the place
ECWMF 14 kts NW - rain
GFS 22 kts W - dry
MB 6 Kts NW -rain
Icon 10 kts NW -rain
Arome 14 kts NW -rain

We've recently kited Pembrey in a NW wind, which was blowing cross on.
So it's an entirely suitable direction.

Personally I think Saturday is out, it’s gusting 40 knots and very wet. Sunday looks calmer at around 20 knots.

I’ve never kited at Pembrey on a NW but it looks like it would be cross shore rather than cross on and potentially gusty due to the closeness of Pendine. Marc has suggested either Gennith or Broughton, it would be nice to hear everyone’s thoughts on this as an option..
