Finally got some time this week so hoping for some wind- although not sure I know how to fly a kite any longer.

Just had a session on the foil at Coney, had a new proto Shinn Jackson Sunburner to demo.....wow is I'm saying for now!

Not enough wind for a regular session, it actually dropped right off as I was in, check station after and it was 9-10mph and still sweet my old faithful Airush Ultra and the new Shinn

Think tomorrow is still iffy with not as much south in it so may be cross off!?

What sort of time was that Marc? I'd been keeping an eye on it but it always seemed too E on aber (and RNLI has been showing N as usual ). Got fingers crossed for something tomorrow now, although the forecast is looking light in the afternoon and not enough S in the morning..

We got on the water at 1.20 pm.
In my view the wind was a bit holy (up and down), probably because too much E in it. Was ok(ish) on a foil but not much good on anything else.
Good to be out though and meet up with some of the saga crew!
Hope you guys get a good one today.

Interesting.. was definitely watching the guage around those times. It was swinging around a bit, presumably due the the wind coming from over land, but even the most southerly readings looked borderline for Coney. Will have to remember that it might be worth a drive when it's looking like that..

Sounds a bit like yesterday.
Sometimes well powered on a 7 sometimes underpowered on a 9....both on a foil.

What is/was the direction today?

It was cross with quite a bit of on - perfect coney for me, just too light. Almost enough for a TT when I got there, went in with the foil and a 12 but was already a bit sketchy by the time I reached the water. Think it might have picked back up again after the lull but no good with a wet kite - ended up paddling in (and that's why it's the perfect coney direction for me ).
