Agreed. We definitely won’t be running it in marginal conditions. We will be consulting with local weather expert Alun before making a final decision.

too far out still at the moment
But the forecast has been the same now for two days
Rule out the Nems Model
So the model consensus is 15 kts E-ESE that's the dashed line in the Multimodel Pic

Is this still going ahead? I looked at the forecast and assumed another weekend of no kiting. The forecast for Oxwich is currently 15mph. I've driven several times due to a forecast that looked like small kite weather to find no wind at all on the beach. Its a massive shame because tomorrow looks ideal!

Hello all. I haven't spoken to Lewis yet but I've been chatting with Alun and we don't think it's going to run this weekend, the wind is possibly okay for a few hours early on Saturday but that disappears around 10am. I'm really gutted and we seem to have terrible luck when we are trying to run this clinic but the law of averages dictates that it will happen! So unless things change dramatically by tomorrow AM we will be looking to run the clinic on the weekend of 11/12th May.

As usual the club will pay 50% of the cost, fingers crossed.

Good call James you have my support to reschedule.

This is too good an event to risk rubbish conditions. Please keep my place for the May event

Now try running lessons here. So hard to make the call for both the interests of the students and for us to make a living also.

The clinic is definitely off this weekend but having just spoken to Lewis we’ve confirmed the 11/12th May when it will much windier and warmer so probably for the best. There is wind around on the weekend just not enough for the clinic, I’ll be at Oxwich around 11am Sunday I hope!

I remember my wait back many moons ago with Bruce!
I think it was cancelled at least 6 or 7 times.
It must be a nightmare

Ended up same as last weekend with very similar forecast of wind but reality was it was lighter down Gower than most of the regular forecasts like XC and Windguru.
We were at Three Cliffs yesterday, beautiful down there but very very light breeze, not even enough for lessons.

Hey Andrew, if the conditions are good then it's a go. A tentative look this morning is showing NW and 20-25 mph at Porthcawl on Saturday.....
