Ended up with just one hold bag + coffin bag. Ditched the 12m.

I'm also considering not taking the 12m (Ultra), may take the 9m instead or the 8m PLKB Synergy!

Ha ha. It’s difficult isn’t it..too many toys!
If you take the synergy I’d be interested to have a play.

Also have a pump... and I've packed all my kites  12/9/7 orbit, 9/7 carve

I could leave the 9/7 orbit and downsize the second bag (is two big bags + sport bag going to be a pain for the transfers?) but I couldn't get rid of the second bag completely without leaving some other stuff too. I have no idea how you've got all your kit into 1 bag/1 sport bag Marc!!!

I should be take quite a lot of cash out at the airport if needed, but it relies on my cards not being blocked or my phone working to deal with any security checks. £1200 at good rates / no fees + £850 at rip off rates. That's over 6 cards so will be a massive faff if they all get security blocked.

The first company I ordered from suggested taking dollars - readily available here and accepted for exchange in Brazil. Would mean getting stung twice though..

What I've not packed much of is clothes.. I'll be wearing jeans, a hoody and trainers. Packed some shorts / T-shirts / boxers & flip flops.. that's all I'll need isn't it?

I am tempted but will lose some low end to either of the Ultra's though.

I def wouldn't take dollars, you'd then need to find banks to change the money in, so only the bigger towns.

My sports bag has
2 x surfboards
1 x Foil board
2 x Kites (7 & 9m Carves) wanted to take my Swell but can't justify the weight or second holdall at the moment.
1 x Harness
3x Bars

3rd kite will be in holdall.

Regards the second holdall, transfers won't be an issue as should go straight through however it's just a lot of kit in rooms, pick ups and to generally look after.

ps after saying all that I'll probably give in tomorrow and take the second holdall with 7m & 9m Swells ;)

Yup, more than warm enough for just Tee's and shorts plus flip flops 24/7

I assume by 'transfers' Jon was referring to the drive up north and back ?
My guess is the vehicles will be pretty rammed on these? which is the main reason I kept it to one hold bag...still got 4 kites in though.

I'm also assuming we will be able get clothes laundered at at least one go the Pousadas ??

Yup no problem for laundry, prob easiest whilst in Cumbuco.

I'm now getting very tempted by second bag so I can take the two swells and the synergy

But also jus cos my hold all is bursting at the seams so it would just make it easier to pack etc

From a Fortaleza traveller safety guide..

The cloning of cards, especially at ATM machines at the airport, is also common. Visitors should ideally only use ATMs inside their hotels or at western banks.

Just two bags each for both of us....just

See you all in the morning

I don't know whether its just me but:
1) Google link: can't see any option to add another review - just an option to edit existing review
2) Facebook link: can't see any option to add a review
3) Trip advisor link: can't see any option to add a review
4) Blast link: Done :D

If i'm just being a muppet, I'd welcome advice as to which buttons to push?

PS.
The Best Trip Ever 8-)
Many Many thanks to Marc and Sarah for organising it all and also the rest of the group for making it work so well.
