They are way easier than they used to be (which was a nightmare) but yeah you should be able to do so but I'd recommend taking plenty of cash regardless.

I'm going to post up here a plan of the days where and how long in each spot when I get the chance.

Not sure if this is still the case but some were famed for being dodgy (ie skimming cards). You definitely wanted to use one in a bank rather the local gas station!
A preloaded travel card might be worth a thought?

Marc/Tony/Ray...have bars/restaurants/shops etc caught up with contactless payment now?

Yes it is def easier than it was to pay with card for meals etc and yes of course you still need to be careful which cash machine's you use

Thanks all, will make sure I take plenty - enough for a week or something. Just need to figure out how much money that actually is. Guess the day plan will help on that but a rough idea of what meal/transportation/any other costs might be would also be good.

No hold luggage for me

Have you figured out what you are going to do Eddie? If it were me I'd definitely pay for an extra bag if that's possible. No point saving relatively small amount of money given the entire trip will be wasted if you end up without the right kite for the whole two weeks! Obviously the consistency of the wind is one of the main reasons for choosing Brazil but there's no guarantees anywhere.

My surfboard bag got enough room and allowance to take 3kites , surfboard, harness and bar.
All my regular clothing will be in my carry on bag
Buying an extra 10m kite next week in case of light wind and I won’t be left behind for the downwinders: p

Everyone needs to pay the tax for Jerri please, it's only about £1 a day. Please click on the link and complete the form.

http://speedgov.com.br/satjij/servlet/c ... ormtaxaing

If the link doesn't work obviously let me know.
The pousada is Sambo Do Kite and the country of origin are all in Portuguese.

It's also not easy as I've just found out.

The dates for the 1st week: 8-10th November
2nd week: 23rd-25th November

Thank you x
