Re: W/Ending 19th April
If it's any good at Coney I'll be up for it, gotta stay local and it's likely to be as good there as anywhere anyway

Tom.
I guess it all depends on the conditions. I could do with a morning early afternoon session ideally.
I'm based just West of Hereford,so it a fair drive wherever i go.
I'd be up for Coney if it's working ? Or whatevers working.

It looks like Oxwich will be rammed on the weekend, it always is when the sun is out and the winds are easterlies. No doubt everyone will be bunched up in the corner near the hotel.

Swansea Bay was mentioned for easterlies the other day... where do you go in particular? Looking at the map is West Cross, Black Pill, Mumbles, somewhere else? How do the tides work?
Edit: then i found the beach page: http://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/beaches/swansea-bay/
New question; midday low tide - how muddy is it?

Re: W/Ending 19th April
Alex, Swansea bay is pretty grotty mud wise at low tide..stick to higher tide times here..

Anyone near Coney ? Is it looking any good ? The forecast looks borderline?
I'm setting off shortly from Hereford to either Coney or if that's not looking good Oxwich.
If anyone can update on conditions whilst i'm on the move my number is 07782502567.
Thanks in advance !?

Will Coney work tomorrow morning?
Thinking of going fairly early before the crowds!

Re: W/Ending 19th April
Hopefully it will work, it depends what the wind actually goes i.e it can sometimes swing slightly cross off
Looks good at Coney right now..airwalk is just going in now!

Hi Marc
What impact does the tide times have at Coney when you are considering Kiting?
Would you avoid trying to kite off coney 2 hours before and 2 hours after high tide?
Is Treco beach ok to kite off too? Again what tidal considerations should be given?
Thanks in advance

When you leave the beach ONLY leave your footprints!

Re: W/Ending 19th April
Yes best to avoid high tide if it's cross shore (most likely) but SSE (cross on is fine) Low tide is best anyway as it's normally quite flat then (no surf) and also shallower and the beach will be bigger.
Treco is a lot smaller beach and the wind will be blowing direct towards the rocks.

Re: W/Ending 19th April
I do like Coney with a little bit more south in it, have some mega flats between the waves. I find it a bit gusty in a dead cross though... Nice on a directional with some waves though...
Will check in the morning.. Not sure I can face Oxwich...
