Any bridgend locals heading out to rest bay tomorrow or is the forecast not looking worth it?

Yeah I was thinking it may be a bit low but I’ll check the live feed and the forum to see if anyone is going.

Conditions here are perfect this morning ( here being France ) except for the cold ! It’s 10C all the surfers are hooded and gloves . Feels like mid December not September
I didn’t bring my winter suit and today it’s needed

Rest felt a bit chilly as the sun went down on Friday - and it went down far too soon as well :(

By the time I’m allowed out it will be wintersuit time so I might as well put the 3/2 in the back of the shed.

We've noticed houses come up for sale here (including on our road) that have then SOLD literally within days of going on the market, it looks like many people are reassessing where they choose to live i.e choosing countryside or coast

Especially as people will feel they no longer have to live by work as WFH is more of an option now.

I currently live 1km from my big government office I probably won’t set foot inside until possibly next summer

I fear that by the time the WAG have sorted out their "hit the panic button" COVID infection rate strategy it will be summer suit again ;-(.

Houses near peoples desired sport will sell fast - the whole of South Wales - inc the valleys has gone up in value due to those city dwellers wanting to move out, loose a mortgage and be near a beach. The more the local lock downs the more houses in those areas will sell. Bubble time (we buy houses to rent out so keep a keen eye on it) deferring buying right now due to this effect. It won't go on for ever.

Watch the COVID numbers increase within the lockdown areas as locals get fed up with not being able to move more than a few miles. As testing numbers go up - ipso facto the infection rates ...mmmm standardisation ?

Sweden - the country that didn't lock down as seen some of the slowest growth in new infections of any European country. Mind their population density is something like 1/10th of ours.

We let people out in summer to stop depression, vitamin D deficiency and give all a "good feel"; of course this would lead to an increase in the virus rates so why anyones surprised is beyond me. PPP leads to PPP.

Time for a van trip to Devon ...or I really will forget what my kites look like or how to put a harness on the right way round.

Roll on mountain biking - thankfully thats still fun and locally available.

Enjoy.
