I'm thinking of Rest later today if the wind holds. Anyone going to be out?

Looks pretty light at the moment but I'm going to head down with the foil later.

It was actually pretty spot on for lesson today at Aber, esp as the tide was in and by the time we'd finished it was just receding back to the scum line.
Popped into Rest Bay on way home and it is banging winds
Got too much emails work to catch up on though

Unexpectedly brilliant session at Rest thus evening. Fully expecting to go with the foil, ended up lit on the 9 with only 3 in at the end.

I’m hoping that this time next week we’ll have the weather station up so we can see live wind readings to make the most of the sea breezes! It’s currently set up in my back garden and working perfectly.

I could always leave it in the back garden!

Today was a joy, not too many on the water which helps but everyone respecting the kiting zone and giving each other space by observing the right of way. Yesterday was not so good. Kiters who should know better going through the surfers. Kiters either not knowing or just not observing the right of way. Two kiters who thought that performing their poorly executed jumps as close to other riders was some sort of game, inevitably this lead to two kites becoming entangled, it was totally unnecessary and could have ended up much worse than crossed lines.

If Rest Bay gets busier because we've put up a weather station then that's great for our local community and if we respect the rules of the water there is no reason why we can't all enjoy ourselves even with 30+ kites in the air. I hate to sound like a bore again but kiting in the surf zone jeopardises the spot, the surf club/RNLI are getting fucked off with it and they have a lot more authority on the beach than we do. Not knowing the right of way ruins other people's session and jumping close to other kiters is both stupid and dangerous.

Totally agree and exactly what we've spent the last 21 years fighting for!

Its nothing new, sadly there have been periods in the past when a few individuals have almost cost us our access to Rest Bay.

I have been saying for way too many years.. Its up to everyone to police it not just me Richie and James etc... Everyone should be helping to point out the zones, the rights of way etc etc

Hoping to get out on Sunday. You think there will be enough wind?

It's too far off to say but we can hope!
