Hmm a lot of easterlies on the horizon, not good unless we get a little southerly angle on them also.

Got in today for a foil and 1st go with the new North Carve foiling too....kite was all good but obviously no match for the light weight Airush Ultra....but if you want an all round kite then yes it's pretty damn good at everything so far!

You posted on the wrong week Jon

Yeah it will no doubt be lesson the beach than on the RNLI, if you do go down let me know as I'm keen to get some more drone footage with foil anyway.

Oops :)

RNLI guage seems to have gone wonky but it's not looking very hopeful anyway judging by xc weather..

I think I can watch Marcus ride all day long.
Nice cut Marc. I love the angles and can appreciate the effort, forethought + kit that must be involved to get some of those shots.
I know it's a promotional clip too but, I like it for it's aesthetic beauty. The tune's a little oooohmchi ooohmci but hey, I can live with it :)

I'm going to check Coney first as it could be good there especially in the pm with ESE forecast, I would imagine Oxwich will be absolutely rammed on Saturday

Cheers for the post Marc, it's always helpful to get feedback, good or bad.

Anyone wishing to understand the difference between regular/goofy or front or back side tune in NOW to the comp going down LIVE now in the wave pool.

Two waves each rider on lefts then rights, so it evens it out completely.

If the forecast doesn’t change for the worse, I’m planning to be at Coney around 12.
I imagine Coney may be quite busy on Saturday as well?

Back for a few days so will hopefully try and get down tomorrow. I'm.guessing Coney is my best bet ?

Not kited coney yet so is there anything I should be aware of ? And the forcast looks quite gusty, does coney tend to gust less than forcast when its the right direction?

It will depend if there is enough South in it, if there isn't then it will be horribly gusty as the wind will be coming over the point as well as Ogmore etc
We launch / land up by the rocks to the left hand end of the beach, keep well away from the wall / pier which the wind will (should) be blowing towards.

Saturday will depend a lot on what it's like tomorrow for us..... but it is likely to be very busy at Coney as it's still very busy here with all this warm weather we are still getting.

Brilliant, cheers Marc. Fingers crossed it's good for tomorrow. Before all the part time beach goes fill the place with litter

Out of interest has anyone kited Barry island before ? Only thing I can think about it, is it needs to be pretty much direct onshore otherwise it will be gusty coming over each of the points. But the upside is it's always pretty much flat. Would be interested to know anyone views ?
