I am not sure on Llanelli but There was some flat water at llangenith yesterday but it's definitely not flat once you get out further. Yesterday I asked some one to help me land and pulled the safety the second time when there wasn't any one around. Even if there are not kitesurfers there will be people around there who you can ask to help. I think kiting area is North of the stream. There is a guide for the beach by Marc with all the info. https://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/beaches

Thanks Ceri

We will be at Rest bay again today from 11am
Hopefully it won't be quite so onshore this time.

I am kitesurfing at Swansea Bay St Helens today at 4ish. The tide will be in at 6pm but with the direction of the wind there should be no problem. The wind is currently 28-33mph

Good to hear about people are going elsewhere - I quite fancy an adventure but don't have the time today so heading back to rest bay now :)

Yeah its one or the things i love most about kitesurfing (and before that surfing) is going to new spots. But tied to rest bay with lessons however when you hear some of the visiting Kitesurfers like here today raving how much they love it.. .it brings it home just how lucky we are!!

Jayne was chatting to some visiting kiters who were raving about Rest.

As you say Marc, its a great place and maybe we just become used to it.

Super day today, just fun in the sun, no woo records or trick stuff (apart from you Marc in which Andrew and I gave you a 5 and 6 score, out of 100 that is) :D

Hopefully a few more days like today before winter hits :geek:

Thanks for the info- looking at magic seaweed there's pretty big waves at Llangennith tomorrow so I think I'm going to pop to Pembrey sands to see if there's any kiters, if not I'll head to Rest bay again and see if I can stay upwind this time :)

Was hoping to head down to aber today. Been checking the porthcawl lifeboats wind meter. It seems very up and down. Anyone got an eyeball on the beach?

Hope you made it to aber Pete - was a banging day a Rest. Decent winds, great waves and the sun was out. Was stoked to find I was sharing the ocean with a seal, not so keen to be sharing it with several hundred surfers gradually taking over the kiting area.

Also stoked to land a double back roll for the first time - would have been more stoked if I'd meant to do it  wasn't even trying for a single

Only wish I had that 8m PLKB Hook pumped up ready for when that wind kicked in. :o
