Dang, wasn't expecting anything today - can't make it now. Got my eye on coney for tomorrow afternoon.

Fingers crossed for the next few days - the forecast is better than we've seen for a while in any case. Things got really desperate last week when a friend and I attempted to tow a foil board with an e-bike - didn't work very well but it was a bit less shambolic than expected!

I couldn’t make it out today. It’s a sacrifice to give me the rest of the week free. If anyone is heading out let me know and I’ll join you.

I'm still hoping coney will be OK this afternoon. Wind doesn't look strong enough yet but has been building and is forecast to keep improving.

Just got back from perfect foiling conditions at Coney - sorry for not posting but I thought it was too light, went to have a look at it on the off chance and rushed in all excited when I saw it was on. Nowhere near enough wind for a TT however.

I'm still crap on the foil but big progress over the last two attempts and have come home feeling well stoked. It was lovely down there too - sun out and some beachgoers even braved the water!

The fella who owns the foil in my pic above is keen to get one of those  - looks like something best left to the pros until there has been a few years of innovation to me..

Kitewings have been about for years I remember a few of the landboarders used to used them on aberavon in 2006 so it’s a long way from being new tech it just hasn’t been seem much because you look like a windsurfer who lost his mast.

AAah yes! I think they used Dirtsurfers with those kitewings: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dirtsurfer-GP16/163671165581?hash=item261b8fca8d:g:iGIAAOSwwmlcx~42

Good timing! I'm keeping an eye on the wind before setting off.
