Have tried this a couple of times having see the vid. Appears to work well on my 6.5 in very strong breeze (Sunday) tried it on my 11 and probably need a bit more practice cos one or two people watching me thought I was perculier. :? :?

Think it is a handy option when packing up to leave the beach and as I always dry/wash & dry and repack my kites as well as I possibly can when I get home so can't see any harm in it.
When you leave the beach ONLY leave your footprints!

I would add that sometimes it doesn't pay off to be over fussy packing up your kite. We have seen kites fall apart where they have been repeatedly folded in the exact same spot, think of folding a piece of card repeatedly.

This is one of the reasons why Epic use a larger bag to get away from that and make packing the kites easier at the beach.

If you check some brands kite bags they are tiny and can be a real mission just to get the kite back in the bloody bag!
