W/Ending 25th August

Couldn't agree more with the RNLI wind guage, it was showing 26mph when I left home.
Anyone know what's up with the Aber meter?

Thanks very much Marc, it's all becoming clearer slowly. Must watch the video again as it's full of technical stuff. It seems though that if you want to ride waves & do some jumping you really need two sets of kites, a set to suit each discipline?? Anything in between like a freeride kite must b...

Really interesting video into kite design. Sounds very technical.
Size wise though, would you ride the same size wave kite as say a freeride or boosting kite? i.e stick with the usual 7,9 & 12m sizes

That doesn't sound too good. Surely all those manufacturers can't survive either.

May be enough this arvo for a foil While waiting for wind... https://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1641 While STILL waiting for the wind I watched the video. Interesting how they reckon windsurfing died off as much as it did, fingers crossed kitesurfing won't suffer the...

Stoney wrote:Yup, there getting some speed up and there's some jumping but nobody out back so it's either quite light still or swung onshore (that's what I'm telling myself when wondering if I should have stayed anyway :D)

If only you had stayed, turned out a great wind in the end.

Does anyone know if the RNLI W/S shows the correct wind speed but the direction is wrong? 19mph at the mo. It's been showing N for the last two days.

Is it me

i agree, haven't seen one for years. Also does a prevailing SW exist anymore? Always seems to be NW when it blows in the last couple of years?
