Didn't post last night as we were waiting to hear all was good first....which we just found it is! 8-)

two old mates from back in the day were out at Aber as we were packing up yesterday pm, they were on old (2004 C kites - not that had anything to do with it mind) They are both very proficient kitesurfers but rarely get out these days and still have all there original 2004 kit.

They both headed down to the river, we left the beach to pack up and as we left we noticed they'd disappeared so we got the dogs and walked up towards the river. They were walking back towards us, Christian was wearing a helmet as he had a gopro on the top.....he never normally wears on.

Lucky for him he did this time as he hit the rock wall up by the river, so hard he was knocked out and was face down till Bondi got to him and turned him over. He had a bad cut to the back of the head, even when wearing a helmet.

He was taken to A&E, stitched up X rays etc and kept in for observation over night, thankfully all is good though and he's being released today.

We always have a good range of helmets in stock ;)

I won't post the wound as it was as it was pretty gory, so here's the after pictures

Gath Helmets are not really made for heavy impact, more for scrapes etc They are made for minimal size for surfing, think duck diving through waves. But obviously any helmet is better than NO helmet

They are pretty much just a plastic shell with next to no shock absorbing foam etc
