After last week when there was no point in even starting a sessions thread I thought I'd kick this week off with a bit of positivity. It looks like the SW may be about to return! Fingers, legs, arms and eyes crossed.....

Yup, fingers crossed we may actually see a return to some sort of normal summer.
Whatever happened to our sea breezes!? :?:

The new 6G Epic's have arrived so can't wait to try them, plus we had a surprise delivery today from Peter Lynn, new model kite (10m) for us to test and report back on and it's not been released yet.
No idea what it is designed for so it will be interesting to see!

We need an expert to explain the lack of sea breezes, I thought the hot conditions were ideal, but they never happened. Strange.

Hi Thor,

High Tide is at 19:44hrs, so that rules out Rest Bay (https://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/beaches/rest-bay/) as the tide covers the launching areas, but there are generally no such restrictions at Aberavon (https://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/beaches/aberavon/)

I'm hoping to go after work, so should be there from 17:00hrs. But you need to keep an eye out on this thread, to ensure that the forecast wind arrives, and that others will actually be going.

Cheers

I'm hoping I'll be able to get to rest bay during the day, perhaps 12ish. After such a long wait, IF it is as forecast, I imagine there will be people there for as long as it's rideable.. 10:30 - 4:30 maybe?
