Whose pain?
We've just had an outstanding week or so and capped off with an epic day yesterday...I was glad of a day off today!

Just checked Coney, ok for foil but not exactly inspiring with a constant drizzle and pretty grey there.
Wind looks like pretty cross shore

Seems quite onshore to me.
But a bit light at the moment.
Marc. Are you bringing that alpha out?

Alpha was good, def better for foiling than a regular LEI but for the very light winds foiling then in my mind the Ultra is still better.
I'm sure the Alpha will have way better high end though.
Swings and roundabouts!

The Alpha has been getting rave reviews from people doing regular kiting, freeride, boosting, kite loops, even freestyle and is obviously great in light winds, and then there is the travel as it obviously packs down so small and lightweight

The Ultra is still so damn good when it gets extremely light though.

Some less "out" than others though  Barely went beyond my own depth while watching you three gliding off into the distance and must have managed a total of about 20 seconds with the board above the water. Hardly unexpected, but foiling really is hard!

Still had a great day and by far the most fun I've had kiting in light winds. Can't wait for the next time :)

You should be pretty chuffed with that fell, it will get easier!

I am, though more chuffed to be injury free and not lost or damaged anything - I came very close to proving you right when you said going in strapless was a stupid idea ;)

While I can see the benefit of having straps for certain things on a surfboard, I felt like not having them only made it somewhat harder to get going learning. I think today I spent most of my time trying to make up for not having them. It felt as if the foil was swimming under me as the kite, the deck and I drifted downwind. Grabbing the toeside rail with one hand while pushing away with my heels and controlling the kite with the other hand seemed to be the only way I could get into a starting position.

Hopefully I'll be able to put the straps back on soon anyway. Will ask the surgeon next week if I'm not in too much trouble for what I've been doing already
